Doynton Village

This is the website for the village of Doynton in the county of South Gloucestershire UK. The village is situated on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment in an area of outstanding natural beauty about 10 miles east of Bristol and 7 miles north of Bath.

There are about 140 houses in the Parish and an estimated population of about 375. Farming is now only practiced by a few families and the majority of the working population are employed in Bath or Bristol. The village has an active social calendar focussed in various events at the Village Hall and a popular Summer Fete. It remains a close-knit active community, which warmly welcomes newcomers.
